Kranjska Gora

Kranjska Gora is a world-famous sports tourist center, which offers its guests holidays in both summer and winter.

The first records of Kranjska gora date back to the 14th century. It lies at an altitude of 806 m near the border with Austria and Italy. It is considered one of the most beautiful alpine valleys , bounded by the Karavanke Mountains in the north and the Julian Alps in the south. With the construction of the railway line in 1870, which is no longer there today, Kranjska Gora became accessible to people from afar and thus began to develop into a tourist destination.

Today, Kranjska Gora is considered as modern and recreational place where everyone can find something for themselves : from a rich gastronomic and culinary offer, interesting tourist attractions, a range of sports activities or a peaceful vacation in beautiful nature.

The most recognizable events in Kranjska Gora are the competitions for the World Cup in men's alpine skiing, the Vitranc Cup, and the World Cup in ski jumping and flying in Planica.
